A story dating back three generations

It all began when nonno Luigi (grandpa), between the two world wars, bought the first part of a pistachio cultivation in the Scalavecchia district, an area still renowned today as the “Conca d’Oro” of Bronte’s pistachio.

When he came to pass his daughter continued, followed by his nephews.

The transformation of pistachio

Through the years the company has increased its pistachio cultivation territories, it has also specialised in the hulling and the first processing of the product.

The planting of new trees has required great diligence due to the mostly impervious and steep grounds, which have contributed to the immense difficulty of the task.

To lighten the difficulty of the work on these grounds, during the years many paths were layed down amid the volcanic rock, and some dry walls, typical of Etna’s territories, were restored.

Tradition and quality

The two cornerstones and incentives of pride to which the company aspires are tradition, an almost decade long one spread throughout three generations and ongoing to this day, and quality of the products, carrying on nonno’s (grandpa’s) belief in the precise control of all the processing stages, from the pruning to the harvesting, to the selection, the processing to the packaging of the final product.
